Gampy1967 Posted July 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2017 Not that I expect to be watching many of them while on the cruise but we will be sailing in an OS on the Dawn and I know that the DVD payer/movies have been replaced by complimentary On-Demand movies (complimentary in the OS). How recent/current are the movies that are available and if there are "adult" selections can they be blocked (our child will be traveling with us). Thanks. Snootbull Posted July 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2017 We were in a suite on the Dawn earlier this year so all the movies were free, so I can not comment on the price. But the movies, and there were many, in all different genres, were very recent. Maybe not "in the theatres now", but "before cable and netflix". Our cruise was a 12 day in late April and I watched Moana, Lion, Bridget Jone's Baby and Fantastic Beasts - I do not like to lay out in the sun and my DH and Cousin do, so if there wasnt a class to enjoy I watched a movie. Enjoy your cruise!!!!!
dexddd Posted July 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 12, 2017 The free movies are on demand and at least on the last two ships we've been on you could pause them and come back later and free in the suites. I don't if there were parental controls or not but the highest rating would be "R". Movies were fairly recent releases. Our sailings had close to 100 movies but I've seen others post recently about having only 40-50 movies and the pause feature was not working. maja651 Posted July 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2017 Does anyone know if the Pearl also now has the On Demand movies since her refurb this year?
