Can someone tell me do you use your sign and sail card for all purchases on HMC? This would include rentals, drinks, and souvenirs. In other words, leave my cash on the ship. I am aware that some drinks are provided when they serve lunch. TIA

Your Sign & Sail card is pretty much useless on the island. Bring cash.

there is no computer system on the island. when you make a purchase at the bar of gift shop, they make you fill out and sign an order form/order slip that has your name and foilo number on it. at the end of the day, they manually input everything in the computer system

We just got back from HMC 2 weeks ago and used our sign and sail cards for everything except the tip for the guides. Not sure why others are saying its useless. I don't even know if they take cash on HMC.

This information is almost completely wrong.

 

The only area on the island that might use cash would be the (small) Straw Market.

--And tips for excursion guides, of course.

As far as I know, other than the casino, Carnival is cashless. They do not want their employees handling cash.

Thank you everyone but a lot of conflicting comments. I will check with GS and take some cash just in case. Was trying to avoid taking anything off the ship that I don't need.

Definitely S & S card except for tips and the small trinket shops. Been there 5 times on Carnival.
