Boatingmom Posted July 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Ok so the 19 year old can buy beer on board with a parental waiver but no mixed or frozen drinks containing hard alcohol. On the island itself I believe the age is 18 for alcohol. So...With I D the 19 year old can then drink a pina colada or margarita on Bermuda itself? Just want to make sure this isn't a problem going back to the ship because neither likes the taste of beer or wine. Also, is there a package that would include virgin drinks besides the UBP? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Drinking Laws -- Bermuda sternly regulates the sale of alcoholic beverages. The legal drinking age is 18, and most bars close at 1am (some close as early as 10pm, and others as late as 3am). Some bars are closed on Sunday, and stores can't sell alcohol on Sunday. You can bring beer or other alcohol to the beach legally, as long as your party doesn't get too rowdy and you generally stay in one spot. The moment you actually walk on the beach or the streets with an open container of liquor, it's illegal.
AerynSun_JohnCrighton Posted July 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2017 As others have said, 18 is the legal age. I remember years ago when I has just turned 18 and we took the Bermuda cruise.... was so much fun. Dad took me out drinking every night! Daquaris, pina colada, wine etc... they didn't care me either and I look young.
