winddawn Posted July 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2017 No. In my experience, Holland America does have DVD players in the cabin though. Just FYI.

winddawn Posted July 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2017 I play DVDs on my laptop Wouldn't it be nice if Carnival's cabin safes were large enough to place an average sized laptop in?
coevan Posted July 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 25, 2017 I don't see why. I leave my laptop out on cruises, hotels, A.I.s. I have never worried about a cabin steward or maid stealing laptop.
Rudyard Posted July 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 25, 2017 If someone really wants to watch DVDs on their cruise, they can always buy a portable DVD player. They aren't that expensive. The cheapest ones can be found for around $50, maybe even lower.

Just make sure the battery is fully charged. ;)
Blackjack22 Posted July 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 25, 2017 Better bring one if you want to watch "naughty" movies as the internet app blocks gambling and porno
RHilla619 Posted July 25, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 25, 2017 No DVD players on the TV's, some have reported being able to hook up the right cable into the back of the TV's to add one on but it's quite the production as the tv's are usually mounted pretty tightly on the walls and then theres the challenge of changing the input. If having specific DVD are a must have then maybe buy a portable player as others have suggested, if it's not a must have the channels on board are pretty decent for being at sea and there is a couple movie channels too.
