Hotel suggestions for Stockholm?

Viking put us up in the Radisson Blu Waterfront that was right next to Central Station. Great location.

I will second this recommendation. We just stayed there recently. Can't beat the location. Very easy to catch the airport express train. Very friendly staff.

I am interested as well as our Viking Baltic is leaving from Stockholm. Any hotel recommended by the port?

We stayed at the Scandic Gamla Stan in the old city. Really enjoyed our stay there. It is a small older hotel (boutique?) and very atmospheric. There is a sauna, but we did not have time to use it. The breakfast was fantastic!

You are right about that. On Gamla Stan. Our room overlooked the Baltic and we could see where the ship docked. Convenient to most everything. First Reisen Hotel. Boutique flavor and not . unreasonable price. The best breakfasts of our 3 weeks in Europe and it's included. HOHO bus stop right outside the door(as well as a public stop) that will take you to the port or central station.

We just returned from Viking Homelands cruise on Viking Star. You cannot beat the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel. We took the Arlanda Express train from Stockholm Airport to the Central Train Station and walked from the train station to Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel; our room was ready, and we checked in at 9:00 a.m. and began exploring Stockholm. Breakfast at the hotel is outstanding!!! We took a taxi from the hotel to the ship. Our decision to stay at the hotel was spot on. Enjoy your trip.
