Rooms at very front of ship

Not on the BA but on the Getaway.

We were a Deck 5 OV but friends were in one of these Deck 10 forward facing OV's. So when we went to their cabin I remember a few differences. Due to the slant of the front of the ship the cabin was laid out differently but had all of the same amenities (same bathroom and closet space, same TV, same bed. same vanity/dressing table).

The sliding curtain/blackout shade has to be pulled down at night to prevent reflection up onto the ship's bridge, due to safety in navigation. No restrictions during daylight hours - otherwise with that. The area in front of the Forward picture window might be good enough to sit on - a foamed cushion ??

Here's a YT video link from the Getaway, its practically identical sibling ship - Deck 10 Fwd. I've seen someone posting for the BA - just couldn't find it ATM.

We're staying in a BC, Fwd Balcony about 6 or 7 staterooms further back - it's a long walk down the somewhat narrower corridor, passing the entrance to the Studio Lounge/staterooms - it's quiet ... long walk from the Fwd staircase & elevators (160+ steps, good exercise.) Expect a little rocking motion if seas are really rough with the pitching.

Has anyone stayed in one of the OV rooms on the very front of the BA? Curious what that is like.

We were in one on the Getaway on deck 12 I think and are in one on the escape in a few days. The window is a pretty good size, but it's slanted and there is a sitting area in front of it. Other than that, it's a normal Oceanview room with a picture window.
