sjm94 Posted July 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2017 Hi We're on the navigator of the seas in August and just completed our online details on our booking When adding our credit card for on board payment via the sail card, it gave us 2 options on paying the final balance. Could anyone offer us what they've done in the past ? The options were 1 .royal Caribbean use their conversion rates to apply and add a 3 percent charge Or 2.our own bank will apply their charges and conversion rates I know this may all differ from various banks But wondered what the majority do? We're from the UK so it'll be converted from our pound Many thanks Sent from my SM-G920F using Forums mobile app
Clarea Posted July 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2017 Let your bank do the conversion. The cruise line's conversion rate is not as good as your bank.

Agree with this, but check on board that they really do bill you in local currency ($) - I find they still try and do conversion no matter if you have ticked box to let bank do it.
