cruiser1955 Posted August 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Noticed that people often ask how many formal nights, 60s & 70s etc there will be on their cruise. Here is a link to the FAQ on the P&O website that lists that info by ship. Doesn't give which night they occur on though and of course, may change once you are on board. https://ask.pocruises.com/…/life-on-boa…/dress_code_all.html

We are on a 17 night cruise and are expecting 5 formal nights. This list also has us down for a 60/70s night, a tropical night and an additional black and white night. We had expected the Black and White night to be a formal night as on past cruises. Is that what people expect? Hope so, as at this rate our luggage will need a team of porters to take it to the cabin !!!
shot2bits Posted August 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2017 We have just returned from 12 nights on Ventura. There were four formal nights, one was the so called captains reception, one black and white and two others. Apart from the captain one, the others were quite pointless as we all got dressed up, ate as normal, went to the show or a bar, or both as normal and then turned in. Many people just went to the buffet and missed one or in some cases, two. Sent from my iPad using Forums
brillo Posted August 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2017 Some of us don't need a reason to get dressed up, if you don't want to take part you don't have to.
Thejuggler Posted August 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2017 4 nights on a 12 nighter looks completely OTT.
Scarletgirl61 Posted August 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2017 I love an excuse to dress up - one of the reasons I enjoy sailing with P&O
