Two "stupid" Dawn questions

I don't want to make assumptions, so I thought I'd just ask the stupid questions:

1. Do all cabins have hair dryers? I read on the Carnival board someone complaining that the cabins on the ship they were on didn't have hair dryers. I just need to know if I should pack one!

2. What about mini-bars/refrigerators? Do all cabins have one of these? I've seen video tours of our cabin and didn't see one, so I just want to check.

Thanks!

:D Do think about A Spa Pass.

Do you recommend this? For us, the value would be space away from the crowds and kids... we are also sailing on the Dawn in a few weeks, and this would be our first cruise. Thanks for your advice!

Since it's your first cruise I would skip it. There's so much to see and do all around the ship. Not to mention just enjoying the ocean views from the open decks. (Instead of indoors!) But a lot of folks swear by it, although we've never felt the need for it after 30+ years of cruising. Whatever you decide, I'm confident you'll have a great cruise. ;p

One week in the Spa did more for my old body than my M.D. did in a year.:D

I am pissed I took 9 cruises before I "discovered" a spa package. For me, it is worth every penny spent. Especially on the Dawn. The lap pool is really nice.

We are considering a spa pass, but we wouldn't purchase it until we are on the ship. We have $500 OBC to use and with drinks and dining packages, the spa is where most of this will be spent.

I'll ask my next stupid question to see if anyone has answers, even though it isn't Dawn-specific.

If you have spoken to the access desk about dietary restrictions or a lift of the liquid ban, does that carry from one cruise to the next? Or do we have to do that process all over again?

Without a doubt, some people think this is the "cats meow".

We had unlimited access due to haven... and went there once for 30 minutes. What a waste of our time.

I get that some people think it is great.

Please, please, please realize that many people do not.

While on this topic:

* Some people think dining in specialty restaurants every night is awesome. (Others are thrilled with buffet)

* Some folks love spending the evening in the casino. Others...

* Some love laying in the sun all day is the most important part of the day. Some NEVER sit out on deck.

* Some think going to all the activities is the way to cruise. Some go to nothing.

* Some think drinking like a fish is a great cruise. Others prefer water

* Some love the art auctions. Some hate it.

* Some pack an extra bag for souvenirs. Some never get any.

* Some love inside staterooms. Some only cruise in the Haven.

Different strokes for different folks. Never say one thing is better than the other.

There is No Haven on NCL Dawn.

Have You even been in Dawn's remodeled Spa??

If you had unlimited access due to the Havens, you went out of your way to book a Spa Havens suite (it does not come with other Havens rooms). So, why would you pick a Spa Havens Room if you don't like spas?

We sail multiple times a year and would not go on a cruise without a spa pass. Even on the Dawn.

Like a previous poster said that different people enjoy different things... I couldn't imagine wasting money on the spa and then wasting my time in there when there is so much other things to do.

Sorry... we had access due to suite on Jewel class - forget which one. Was not a haven spa suite. Just know we had access and made very little use. Maybe the SPA on the bigger ships is different.

The point being - some people love certain things, and some see no point. Neither person is better than the other, just different.

===========

Okay.. some people think they are better when they say things like : You MUST eat this, or you MUST go here, or you MUST do this and you will LOVE this show and you will LOVE this drink.

Just an observations and a chuckle. I am not better than anyone else, that is for sure.

I am "That Guy", I prefer the Dawns Spa to the Breakaway spa. Much quieter and I love the large lap pool. Watching the wake is so relaxing. Salt room on the Breakaway is a nice novelty, I would never go and use that again though.

If you are into pampering your self and relaxing, on the DAWN a spa pass is a must. I like a spa package over the Haven area.
