A sea lion We were handed cards with tribe names on it. This was our souvenir and ticket into the Tribal Dance. You were either an Eagle or Raven, and in one of 12 clans. Tlingit culture is matriarchal - kids follow the mom. If mom is an eagle all the kids are eagles. Eagles marry Ravens and vice-versa to keep balance. So we couldn't take our time. Boarding the Sun! I would love to go back to Icy Strait Point. Excellent hospitality and great cultural experience. Make sure to include this port on your next sailing! A final look at Icy Strait Point as we sailed to Sitka. I had to leave the camera while I went swimming. The deep pool is not heated and freezing. The shallow pool is actually warm but can be too warm. Susan and I met up and got ready for dinner. Her dress tonight was a Christmas present for the cruise. Funny picture time! We always get a stairwell photo on longer cruises. they didn't have the light set up on deck 7, so they had to go get a mobile flash to take this photo. Meeting the Photo manager helped, becuase we asked to have him called and dealed directly with him. He found a mobile flash to have our picture taken. Creme Brulee Napoleon A La Noisette Profiteroles We felt that the food at Le Bistro was just ok. Its lost some of its ambiance, when they undomed the plates at the table. The entrees were tasty, but we felt La Cucina had better flavor. We found this creature upon returning to the room. Let me take a moment and say our stateroom steward was awesome.
