Cruising to and around Japan.

I gather that Princess do the cruises for Japan. I specially want to go Kyoto. I want any advice about cruising in that area and tours.

Check cruises that begin / end or stop in either Kobe or Osaka. Kyoto is not that far away. One option would be to take a cruise that begins in Kobe and then either before or after the cruise go to Kyoto for a couple of days. There is a lot to see in Kyoto and depending on the time of year it is really beautiful (Spring Cherry Blossom and Fall the change in the colors of the leaves).

We did a cruise around Japan last year, with Celebrity though. For Kyoto we used tours by locals, had an excellent tour over 2 days.
