RuthC Posted August 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Are you allowed to bring a power strip aboard? I use a CPAP. Thanks. You can use a power strip if it doesn't have a surge suppressor included. You can also use an extension cord, or a triple tap sort of extender. If you have a European style outlet adaptor, you should also be able to use the European outlet at the desk, since most CPAP machines can use 220 power. Sent from my LG-US996 using Forums mobile app Ask your TA and they will have HAL provide one. It will be in your cabin when you arrive. Or, just ask your cabin steward the first time you see them and they can get you one.

bUU Posted August 17, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 17, 2017 Wow, I'm sure glad you posted this....This is what I was considering bringing. I didn't think that was a surge protector, but just a big extension cord :oIt may or may not have a surge protector, but the point is that a multi-outlet extension cord that looks like that is far more likely to be confiscated by a port agent than one that looks like this: You cannot have surge protection without a ground, so I recommend, at the very least, bringing one of these. Then, if they confiscate your three-pronged extension cord, you still have this for the devices that can use it. I recently realized that our USB chargers and the power adapter for our ultralight laptop all are two-pronged. At this point, I cannot imagine what we would need a three-pronged extension cord for on the cruise.
