Grand Princess or Regal Princess??

Any good points about the Grand as we have booked our first sailing on her next year to Alaska (many appear to be negative about her on this thread)? We usually sail X, but the embarkation at SF has persuaded us to give Princess a try.

The OP was asking for a choice between the 2. Kinda like asking what is better - Corvette or Toyota Camary??

I am booked again on the Grand for Christmas - I live in Turlock - very close. Just remember she is 19 years old and she is getting tired

Again, go to a car rental - they offer you a Newer car or one that is 19 years old - what do You pick without looking?

If the balcony size is one of the factors, have you looked into the one of the mid-ship cabins that have larger balconies due to the bump-out. I would not want to choose Emerald Deck, as it is just above open areas on the promenade... And on higher decks, these are considered peek-a-boo balconies, because there is full view onto your balcony from the Sea Walk.
