PrincessBelle39 Posted August 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2017 We had an overwater cabana at Nellies Beach. There were two beach mats, towels were there waiting for us, a cooler full of bottled water and a cabana attendant. There were two comfy loungers and and a large couch with overhead fan. Not sure exactly what the attendant does and doesn't do. We only asked for drinks. I have to say that we felt it was a fantastic way to spend the day. With out a doubt, we will be doing it again next time we go to Labadee.

PrincessBelle39 Posted August 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2017 We didn't have wristbands. We were just shown the cabanas and given a choice of which we wanted from what was left when we got there.

ONECRUISER Posted August 27, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 27, 2017 The attendant does not give massages. Ha, funny! Would be a great perk but can't imagine what the price on a Cabana including a 6-8 hr Masseuse...
jamesr3939 Posted August 27, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 27, 2017 On Nellie's or Barefoot? We have had Barefoot cabanas twice. They are specifically assigned and you in advance and you do get a wristband at the gate. Sounds like loungers etc are about the same as Nellie's. Our attendant got our drinks for us. Barefoot buffet is "upgraded" from the Nellie's buffet. The first time we were there that was differently true. The second time not so much. Darkingnj Posted August 27, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 27, 2017 Had a cabana last Wednesday in CocoCay, pretty much included everything listed above in the Labadee cabana, including Evian bottle water. We booked the cabana online prior to the cruise. When we boarded we went straight to the Excursion desk and chose which cabana we wanted. We were actually the second group to choose and was able to pick one in the front row right on the water. When we arrived at the cabanas we were then given the wristbands and offered snorkel equipment as well. Book the cabana, you'll enjoy it.
Jetdriver787 Posted August 28, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 28, 2017 Just off Anthem where we rented an over-the-water cabana for the day. It came with a cooler full of water and the attendant brought drinks to and fro as you required them. A couple of floating mats and towels were all waiting. Nice shade and a ceiling fan made for a nice patch of real estate for 7 hours or so. Now siting in a hotel room looking up 5th Avenue in NYC. It did get me thinking the cabanas had gone up in price since the last time we had one a few years ago. $495 for (call it 8 hours to be generous) works out at around $542,000 per annum. There is a 2 bed apartment on the 54th floor of Trump Tower (yes I know!) for around $216000 per annum. Even allowing for one rental a day $180,000 per annum isn't a bad return on a beach hut. Reality aside though, it is a nice addition to the day. :)
