educator Posted August 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2017 We'll be sailing on the Pride in January. Does the BlueIguana have white (or any kind) corn chips to go with their salsa?
cruzeluver Posted August 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2017 Nope. No chips. But the tacos and burritos are certainly worth the trip! :p I would imagine that if they had chips, re-stocking the salsa bar would have to happen much more frequently. monakayk Posted August 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2017 I have read on CC that they now have Taco bowls so you could break that up as chips....just a suggestion.

VaTech8912 Posted August 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Nope. Crazy right? I always find it odd to have a great salsa bar but no access to chips except in the Lido on certain days.
coevan Posted August 29, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 29, 2017 whether they are there or not, I am a lifelong sailor, I stand behind my comment. On my boat if I don't put the chips in Tupperware they last maybe 2 days, maybe.
debster11 Posted August 29, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 29, 2017 You could always bring a bag on if you wanted to. A pain but it would be worth it.

On my boat if I don't put the chips in Tupperware they last maybe 2 days, maybe.I have to wonder how much of what is served is prepared in advance like that. I remember watching Big Kitchens episode from the Regal Princess. It seemed that they made practically everything from scratch, even prepping thousands of lobster tails rather than buying boxes of pre-prepped lobster tails. I've got to believe that, as simple as it is to make tortilla chips, and as cost-efficient their kitchens are, that they'd make their own tortilla chips aboard cruise ships (either from prepared corn tortillas, or perhaps even from masa) rather than buying prepared tortilla chips, taking up all that extra room for storage. skridge Posted August 29, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 29, 2017 They always have chips on the buffet by the pool on the smaller ships to go with the fake cheese sauce. You could use those chips.
