stleda124 Posted September 9, 2017 #76 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Please report back if the do offer something. I have some friends who are interested to know. I'm on the ship and I don't want this to come off as not caring about the current terrible event going on. But, we booked Eastern. Switched to Western. Totally okay with that. Cancelled Labadee. No choice. Extended no charge. My flight was cancelled so no charge to rebook. 2 Cozumel stops. 1 costa maya. It's a Mexico cruise. I don't know what should be offered because I haven't been in this situation before but it should be something. Our beverage packages aren't being extended for the additional days unless we pay at 50% off. I feel like that should have been a given. Just my 2 cents. roswellcruiser Posted September 9, 2017 #77 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Are they giving you any kind of a future cruise credit? Bob, 25% future cruise credit in addition to refund for current cruise. Must book within 30 days. Very generous imo.

It also showed refund and credit info, unless i had too many in the diamond lounge and misread.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums I'm on Allure and I'm not sure what you're expecting. Free food and lodging for three extra days. That's a heck of a lot better than them dropping you off in Fort Lauderdale tomorrow with squalls, flight cancellations and no hotel availability thanks to the west coast people fleeing. If you didn't want the extension you had every right to leave in Jamaica as two of my friends did or Cozumel Monday. Do think the drink package should be extended for free though. LeeW Posted September 10, 2017 #87 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Bob - confirm no OBC or FCC for current cruise but 50% off on beverages, beverage packages, any new dining packages, specialty restaurants, internet service. Free 30 minutes internet in Conference Center. No additional gratuities charges for extra 3 days (just went down to Guest Services and added mine back in). 50% off wash and fold. If you happened to buy the Ultimate Dining, it is continued for free. All others are 50% off. The soda/voom $19 package isn't extended, but both are 50% off for the three days and that is cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using Forums This is too funny. I suggested a discount over on the Carnival boards during the Harvey fiasco and was called ludicrous yet you want it for free. I know it's stressful having your vacation extended for three days at no extra cost but you do know that Royal didn't whip up this hurricane, right? stleda124 Posted September 10, 2017 #89 Share Posted September 10, 2017 This is too funny. I suggested a discount over on the Carnival boards during the Harvey fiasco and was called ludicrous yet you want it for free. I know it's stressful having your vacation extended for three days at no extra cost but you do know that Royal didn't whip up this hurricane, right? That's not the point. It was switched from eastern to western. Then Western to basically a Mexican itinerary. An eastern itinerary is more expensive than western. We weren't offered the option of a future credit rather than coming. When we show up on Wednesday who knows what we will show up to. The additional cost for boarding dogs, etc. it's a drink package. I've been on multiple royal cruises. I'm not staying in a special suite but I'm in a junior Suite. I've played in the casino. I've booked shore excursions on every port. I've had massages. Ive done specialty dining. My point is, we've spent money. And if we didn't book it to begin with I would expect it but since we have it already, I do expect to it be continued as it has on other Royal cruises in the past during situations such as this. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Shame on u and yes beat me up for mho.. there are thousands plus people that had to evacuate Florida, a mess still in Houston, an earthquake in Mexico and you are traveling during a high risk time for cruises (hurricane season) the. Raise ship has played it safe rerouted you, not dropped you off in Florida to fight everyone else getting out of there, kept you safe, extended your trip for free offering deals off drinks, lost money on the people that are paying guests for the trip they had to cancel so u could be safe and u want more? I'd be grateful I'm alive, be grateful they are keeping you out of harms way and still allowing you free time on The ship. It's a huge risk traveling this time of year there's never a guarantee u won't hit weather even when I went in June we hit bad rainstorms in Bahamas and our day was ruined they still went there but should I have gotten a new day somewhere else since the rain blew my day no it happens .. I'm sorry you are stuck on a beautiful ship versus at work, or in the middle of Irma. There are many people suffering right now. Maybe you should turn on the tv so u can appreciate what royal has done for u..
