Solo traveller & dining

I have seen solo diners eating alone at fixed seating. I, too much prefer fixed dining. If you find you do not like your table, speak to the Matre'd and ask to move-they will be happy to move you. I ended up the only one at a table for 8, and got moved after that. This past cruise, my table for 6 was a table for 3, and the other couple was not always there. My waiter found a backup table for me, and so I alternated between two tables. One of the best tables I had was with all solos who were 4 or 5 star Mariners-3 men and 1 woman-and all had traveled extensively. Boy, did they have great stories!
