Hurricane Irma - Anthem of the Seas - Bermuda Sept. 9, 2017 sailing

Recommended Posts

Are you a TA? I've been checking on a couple of sites and they are showing not available, Maybe because I'm solo. Where is the D3 that you saw. Maybe they would still let me change, even though it's a cabin for 3 or 4. The only thing I'm seeing is a Grand Loft.

Solo can make a difference. Some will only book 2 passengers or more. I have, then cancel and get 2nd passenger taxes back...

Not a TA. Been looking on a cruise site for a possible upgrade opportunity but other than a few suites here and there it's been sold out for quite a while. PM me and I can give you the name.

So far the ship is still showing sold out. I keep checking because I would love to change (pay) to a better cabin. I've been checking for over 6 weeks long before Irma. I was hoping people were going to be cancelling, but so far no such luck.

I have an loft suite and 3 single cabins for my kids (adults really). I'm going to be canceling one tomorrow as one of my sons will not be able to attend...

I called the Crown & Anchor D+ desk and also the Casino Royale, both told me there are no upgrades and no upsells. One also told me that any canceled cabins are being bought by those evacuating Florida. I guess they need a place to go until they can get home. To upgrade my SD cabin to a D cabin was $700 more.

Like I said on my previous post, I knew there wouldn't be a decision until late today. Now I think they will say we are going to Bermuda, but stipulate that there maybe a last minute change when we are on board, or we will leave Bermuda early to run away from Jose.

dcjerseygrl - if this is your 1st cruise don't go. Cruising is a wonderful vacation and plenty of people get turned off to it from one bad experience.

yeah, I think you are right, but I hate to lose all my money. There is a story in the Halifax newspaper saying that "the Anthem of the Seas has already indicated it will be making an unscheduled stop in Halifax next week". it was posted last night. I am hoping that that may help in getting a credit to rebook, but I doubt it.

I hope you're packing as we're headed to Bermuda per James VanFleet's latest tweet :D

Enjoy your cruise :)

You've been told numerous times that if the cruise leaves you need to be on it no matter where it goes There is no rebooking

Halifax would love it, but it's not going to happen. I am sitting in Two70 on the Anthem right now, at the Captain's Corner, and he just said the ship will go to Bermuda.

I may have missed it in the thread, but why would you cancel even if the cruise was diverted to a different destination?
