Uber to port in Tampa

Hi everyone!

 

Has anyone had any experience using Uber from hotel to the port? We were going to try this in Jacksonville, but were warned against it by our airport Uber driver who said that Uber drivers were not allowed on past security to the terminals. Has anyone heard anything about this for Tampa? I would rather pay Uber than wait for a shuttle.

We took an uber from the airport to and from the port in July with absolutely no issues!

I live in Tampa, a few miles from the airport, and have used Uber to/from the airport on several occasions with no issues at all. :)

Also, if the worst happened and they wouldn't let Uber in (which I seriously doubt) the area they'd drop you off in in Tampa is really close to the port building, so it's not like you'd be walking a mile!

We just used Uber in August to get to the port of Tampa from the Renaissance International Hotel right next to the airport. Quick and easy and cost only $10. The driver was there in less than five minutes, too.

Last cruise we used Uber from our hotel to the Fort Lauderdale terminal and it worked out great. Our Uber driver was a really interesting gentleman so yes I would do it again
