Half Moon beach questions

I see a post that says no umbrellas or chairs for rent. Is there any natural shade at this beach? And how much would a taxi for 2 from the cruise terminal cost? Thanks.

I'm surprised noone has answered your Half Moon Bay questions yet.

 

I was there about five years ago, and at that time there was no natural shade. It is a very secluded beach with no amenities except for a woman under a palapa selling souvenirs and water.

 

A very beautiful beach with nice waves for body surfing. Truely a hidden gem. It is about a 45 min taxi ride from the pier and I don't remember how much we paid, but I would expect it would cost about $30/person for two of you.

 

Come to think of it, it is one of my favorite beaches I've ever been to. I highly recommend it if you don't mind the long ride and lack of shade and amenities. A gorgeous beach, good swimming and awesome views are all you'll find there.

Photos 2 and 4 is how I remember it, very arid. We did talk to someone there who lived in the condos in photo 3.
