just a reminder to all you folks visiting Seattle en route to Alaska.

This is a very special time of year for us folks. we are usually inundated with cloudy skies and massive rain the month of June.

This year we will experience the solstace as it is truely meant to be...long long warm days of sunshine. So please, as you are passing through the Emerald City take time to look at the beautiful scenery and take advantage of the sun rising at 4:00AM and setting at 11:00PM. And remember, this isn't how it usually is.

The fourth of July is usually our turning point. Warm, sunny and dry from July through October. The days are shorter though.

BTW...it is hardly ever humid here. Nothing like Florida. When I say hot..I mean 85 degrees. The natives get restless if it gets warmer than that.

I will be arriving in Seattle this Saturday to board the Sapphire on Sunday. I can't wait to see the city.

I did just see a weather report showing a beautiful weekend ahead. My husband is very excited to be able to fly in shorts.

Florida Beach, you would love our winters. How about 40's and light rain for 10 days straight? Actually, it's okay with a good attitude, you just look forward to that day when the sun comes out, and you say "that wasn't so bad!"
