LuvBotswana Posted September 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Anyone know what kind of equipment they have? Free weights, kettle bells, bosu balls, medicine balls, exercise balls? Thanks in advance.
MomentsNotice Posted February 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2018 I also would like to know. My mother needs ’leg press’’ and a ‘’knee extension machine [quads]’ for physical therapy. Thanks in advance.
Astro Flyer Posted February 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2018 In this link CC has photos of the Regal’s fitness center which shows the types of equipment. It’s the same setup on the Royal so the Majestic should also be the same. https://www.cruisecritic.com/photos/ships/regal-princess-679/fitness-center-100433/
MomentsNotice Posted February 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2018 Thanks. The structure of the 2 ships is the same but I'm not sure the fitness equipment choices will be the same. This ship designed for the Asian market who may have preferences of different types of equipment which may have been taken into consideration. Would appreciate input from anyone who has actually sailed on the Majestic. But thank you Astro Flyer for taking the time to respond.
PrincessLuver Posted February 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2018 Anyone know what kind of equipment they have? Free weights, kettle bells, bosu balls, medicine balls, exercise balls? Thanks in advance. It is the exact same setup and equipment as the Royal and Regal gyms.....says opens at 6:00AM but it is really open 24 hours....one of the big reasons I love the Royal class ship....:)
MomentsNotice Posted February 9, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 9, 2018 Thanks. Were you on the Majestic itself?
Astro Flyer Posted February 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2018 It is the exact same setup and equipment as the Royal and Regal gyms.....says opens at 6:00AM but it is really open 24 hours....one of the big reasons I love the Royal class ship....:) Unlike other Princess ships with cabins below the gym, Royal-class ships are over the buffet & thus the gym’s hours are not enforced. henry-root Posted February 19, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Well according to their photo they've got sod all. Just a large empty space for ball games. Nor do they mention any gym equipment. We're going in a few days so info much appreciated if you've actually been on board cheers.
anthonyy7 Posted February 19, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2018 I've been on all the Royal class ships incl the Majestic and all the gyms have a similar setup with exact same equipment. As stated in the patter, the fitness center hours is 7am-7pm (supervised) 7pm-7am (unsupervised) ie.. 24hrs. The only difference is the sports deck above and there is no outdoor running/walking track. You could walk up there but you'll have to open/close a couple gates which is annoying.
