LOSTmemories Posted December 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2005 I was on the Royal Caribbean Western Caribbean cruise from Nov. 27, 2005 to Dec. 4, 2005. On Dec. 2 I left my camera in the casino and someone picked up (but didn't turn it into lost and found). :( If you found my camera, please return the memory card (I don't care about the camera--no questions asked). I have very fond memories captured from this vacation on that memory card. I'm crushed to not have it. Please mail it to me at the following: Stephanie Stricker 1223 W. madelinerose Posted December 6, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2005 So sorry about your memory card. I understand that less than 1% of cruisers come to these boards, so please don't expect too much. Not sure I would've posted my home address here, though. Good luck....;)
ChoosinCruisin Posted December 6, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 6, 2005 Which ship? You might want to check and see if there was a Roll Call thread for your sailing and post there.

Lawrence #3 Chicago, IL 60640 Many Thanks! Stephanie, We were on that cruise as well. Sorry we didn't find your camera. If we had found one we would have turned it into the pursers office. My Niece left her husbands digital camera in a bathroom and when she went back it was gone. She went to the pursers desk and the guy asked her to describe it. She didn't know what type she had so he went back to look for one. He came out with a camera but would not let her see it. He was scrolling through the pictures to see if he could find one of my niece (she was not in the pics as she was always taking them). He finally found a family portrait with a picture of her in it. He said that one lady came to claim a lost camera (on this cruise) and as she was doing so someone else claimed it was hers. I guess an argument broke out over that camera so they were leary about just giving my neice the camera without some sort of POSITIVE Id. I also heard that a crew member was escorted off the ship at one of the ports not sure why but maybe due to stealing DON'T QUOTE me on this. Hope you find your camera. Sonny Winters P.S. FitzLA Posted December 6, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2005 Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. I lost my camera (or it got stolen) from Mazatlan on our cruise last Sept. to Mexican Riviera. Fortunately, it was a film camera, so I only lost that days worth of photos, but I was devastated not to have the memories of that day. I hope that someone reads this and returns the camera to you. This is one of the problems with digital. Unless you upload photos to your computer everyday, you take the chance of loosing so many memories. I use digital and film now. Again, good luck to you!!!! This is so true. It's the reason I drag my laptop with me. Well, that and I have to have internet... :D
gatour Posted December 7, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 7, 2005 Not to make too much light of your situation, but now I feel better about not only dragging by laptop along on my Panama CanalCruise (I usually bring along my lap top on vacation) but I also brought my external CD burner to make back ups. This was my first cruise to the Canal and just in case I never get back I did not want to take a chance on losing pictures.
CruisinDawn Posted December 7, 2005 #8 Share Posted December 7, 2005 Sorry about your camera and I hope someone comes through, ya never know. We take several memory cards not only for this reason but what if the card your using fails and all your pictures are on the one card? We change daily and it not only helps us keep the memories safe but keeps ports from blending together :D You can usually find them pretty cheap on ebay unlike the Royal Caribbean mouse, hehe. Good Luck Dawna
jillybabes Posted December 7, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 7, 2005 Hey Cruisin Dawn, I see that you had cabin 8088 on the Radiance. We just booked it for next November and just saw the pic of the balcony that you took, I knew it was big, but it is a WOW! Jill:cool:
