Reserving Specialty Dining With Kids

We will be sailing on the harmony of the Seas this December. I am interested in dining at Wonderland with my family (husband and three kids). While booking online, I'm only given the option of paying the adult price for all 5 of us ($49pp). I called RCI and the agent said to go ahead and reserve and pay for the reservation now ($250!) and the children's discounted rate will be reimbursed once I am onboard.

I'm a little skeptical because it is a lot of money. (Kids 6-12 are $10 and 5 and under are free). Does anyone have any experience or advice? Thanks!

People have reported being given the credit for the reduced kid's price at the restaurant.
