Urgent Birth Certificate Question

In the past I think I went right through the Health Dept of NYC for myself. But he went to through Vital Check and ended up paying more money

I think Vital Check just works as a go-between, at least for NY. I've never gotten a request from them, but I get more genealogy BC requests than regular because there's not a hospital in my municipality so in modern times there is rarely anyone born here (I've had one in 12 years!). I'm sure dealing with NYC though is a different animal and can see why someone would rather fill stuff out online through Vital Check and try to do it that way!

My cabin mate is going on her first cruise. She has a birth certificate but is worried because she now has a married name. Will this be a Problem? Is there any other info she needs to Bring? Thanks for the help.

She HAS to being her marriage license also or they won't allow her on the ship.
