SteelerFanXL Posted September 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2017 First time on Royal, first time in full suite (D726). After reading many posts, I suppose the soot is still an issue for the aft balconies?? Maybe I should have read those before booking the aft suite. Thinking I should have gone with a forward suite instead!
rockdoctor Posted September 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Aft balconies on B and D decks are almost completely covered. We were on B deck for 3 weeks last spring and the soot was a non issue. I am thinking that I only noticed light soot one morning. I suspect the more open decks may have more of a problem. Colo Cruiser Posted September 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Not fully covered. The side section is covered, the corner section and aft section are partially covered. The aft decks are tiered. I think these photos of D-726 are from Bob-woobster and Dave.
Rare Denmal Posted September 28, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2017 We just got off the Regal from a 14 day transatlantic in B734. No shoot until we got warmer weather, in Europe the balcony was shoot free. Loved the balcony aft suite. It was partial cover
1spacecowboy Posted September 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2017 There was just a little soot on the deck and rails when we stayed in Baja aft room, and when I say a little, you really had to look for it to find it. Rare azbirdmom Posted September 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 29, 2017 We had terrible soot on our Aloha deck aft suite but others below us said it wasn't as bad.
