Formal nites

The 1st formal night usually on 1st sea day. The 2nd on 2nd or 3rd sea day before the end of the cruise. The 3rd is any day in-between. Actual dates are usually printed on page 2 of embarkation Patter.

Can someone please tell me what are the formal nights on the Grand Princess 15 night Hawaii cruise out of San Francisco . Thank you in advance of answering :D

I wanted to add to what Easyboy said, your first formal night will be your first sea day (that's pretty much guaranteed), but the formal nights depend on the cruise you are on and are up to either the Captain or Cruise Director, I forget who.

For example, formal nights on a Christmas and NYE cruise will be either the 24th or 25th of December and then NYE. At least that's been our experience.

 

The patter will have the information on embarkation day, as easyboy mentioned.

Generally, it will be the day after embarkation, the day before arriving at the first Hawaiian island and the next to the last night. But as mentioned above, that is subject to change. So check the Princess Patter for embarkation day
