kjwkruiser Posted October 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Here's one I can't figure out. Why does every ship put the comedy show in such small venues? We would love to go but refuse to stand in line for an hour or more to hopefully get a seat in a crowded, cramped venue. I read so many negative comments about this very thing. Why don't cruise lines listen? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
easyboy Posted October 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Some cruise lines like Princess also schedule Comedy shows at the theater. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare 1025cruise Posted October 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Carnival does it as they want to maintain the feeling of a small comedy club. But yes, many wish they would hold them in the main theater.
SadieN Posted October 9, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Talked with one of the cruiseline comedians we’ve befriended over the years. He says many comedians prefer the intimacy of a small venue. Though he does prefer a larger venue. Another issue is scheduling. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
BunnieBear Posted October 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Just off of the NCL Jewel and we had comedy in the theatre with a late night show later on in the cruise in the Spinnaker lounge. No problem getting seats at either. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Forums mobile app
Bonnie J. Posted October 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 10, 2017 We are Diamond on Carnival so can have seats reserved for us. I speak to the crew Member in charge and tell him/her where we want to sit. A 11x8 laminated paper is put on our seats that says 'reserved"'. I don't know if platinum can do this but a lot of Diamonds don't know they can do it!
