Can you prepurchase the Tracy Arm small boat? I don't see it listed on Carnival's excursion website. If not do most people go right to the Shore Excursions desk once onboard?

I did the Tracy Arm small boat "Explorer" excursion last year. You can reserve it in advance via email request. It is not available to book online.

Sorry. I'd provide you a link with the booking email info, but most of Carnival's website has been down today.

IMO, it is good, but not nearly as good as other glacier excursions I've booked, such as the helicopter ride to Mendenhall Glacier. The Misty Fjord float plane excursion is also better than the Explorer excursion too IMHO.

Did Legend make it to Tracy this past summer? Most of last year she did Endicot (when we went). Back to OPs original question, if you want to do helicopters and float planes and have a budget you have to stick to, Legend is the way to go. The MDR Service was as good as ever, meals as good as any other Carnival or RCCL ship, the playlist productions don’t suck very much, the Casino is well appointed, the base line category cabins are on par with anything else out there and if your taking advantage of the Itinerary you paying for, you won’t have much time to do much else.

There is one full Sea Day on the front side and the Aft Adults only Solarium got us off to a great start. Saw whales from one of those cocoon beds.

Loved going to Alaska and want to go back next year but combined with land tour probably with Princess..

How sad when people say playlist didnt suck too badly and many of us can agree how bad it is compared to the production shows they used to do.
