Cabin upgrade without paying more

I am in the UK and always book direct with Celebrity. When the price has dropped on previous cruises we have managed to upgrade with no loss of perks. On one cruise we started off in Ocean View and ended up in Aqua class. We have also had additional on-board credit given when the price has dropped further and we were already in Aqua class cabin.

Sorry but this info is false. I just talked to an agent at Celebrity about upgrading my 1A to a CC2 which is on sale and she told me that as long as it’s the same cost or LESS than what I paid I can upgrade no charge. I’m after final payment.

 

I’ve done this on 2 different cruises. And paid the difference on 2 others. All after final payment. Call your TA or Celebrity and ask. Costs nothing to ask.
