lisamarieh Posted October 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I just got off of the phone with MSC. I paid off my January 20, 2018 cruise on Seaside!! Woo Hoo!! Yacht Club, here we come!! While I was on the phone with the agent, he advised me that MSC put out an email at 4:30pm today stating that the port stop in San Juan was being changed to St. Thomas for this sailing. He did not tell me when cruises to San Juan would resume. I just wanted everyone to know if you are scheduled to go to San Juan, you may want to call and find out if your itinerary has been changed. sidari Posted October 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2017 December 23 rd sailing was changed around two weeks ago. There does however appear to be an issue over the sailing time, it was 7 pm now it is listed as 5pm.
Proseccoandsun Posted October 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2017 I think at this point, to be expected. These islands are in really devastating conditions. I'm hopeful St. Thomas will be ok by December. It sounds like they're on track and making repairs - much more so than Puerto Rico. I feel so bad for the people there. Not surprising. Thanks for the update. I suspect something like that would happen since the website stated this change (10/5) for the Dec 23 sail date. We are on the same sailing! Unfortunately we are not in the YC since we are traveling with 3 other groups of family members. We were on Meravigilia this past June and look forward to this ship. We've been through the caribbean too many times - this cruise is about the ship for us.
