mscg2000 Posted October 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2017 I have a reservation for a balcony on Navigator on January 28, 2018. I'm thinking of upgrading to either a GS or OS. Is it likelier that the price will go up or down after final payment date? There are 5-6 suites in both categories currently available. Final payment is in 11 days. Biker19 Posted October 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2017 You don't know if that 5-6 will go up or down in the mean time - that is what will drive price changes. At this point I would wait till after final.
Darcy03231 Posted October 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2017 I booked our suite on our upcoming cruise before final payment when they were having a sale. After final payment the prices have been consistently higher than what I paid.

Completely unpredictable, but at this point, I'd also wait.
jamesr3939 Posted October 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2017 I have tracked the OS prices on Oasis and Allure over the last 3-4 years for a couple of cruises we wanted to do. I never saw them go down after about four months prior to sailing. Between 6-10 months I saw some movement and got an OS for $3000 less that what it first went for. I saw the prices for an OS jump up $400 in one day and then just keep climbing. At 11 days from final I would keep checking daily if not a couple of times a day until 4-5 days after final. After that I doubt you will see much reduction.
Biker19 Posted October 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2017 After that I doubt you will see much reduction. Many other markets have final payments further in that the NA norm of 90 days, so there may be some more movement until about 50-60 days out. Desert Cruizers Posted October 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2017 I have booked when dates open and haven't seen a suite Price drop yet. I feel it best to book as soon as the dates open for your cruise.
