can you send a fax to somone on the ship?

My parents are leaving on the coral princess on wed and I need to get some info to them on thurs. They do not have email. Is it possible to send a fax to the ship? They will be at sea on thurs

i would suggest that you put the contents in an email and email it to them via the ship's email address...there is no guarantee that the ship will deliver it to them unless the ship believes it to be very urgent

There is both email & fax available onboard.

I have read where people do not get their messages when sent via the ship. So I would suggest a back up plan.

The could set up a free Yahoo or Hotmail account just while onboard to get the email.

 

I MAY have the fax number for the Coral. I will try to see if I do.

Otherwise call Princess & they will give it to you.

Is it possible for someone to call you ON the ship and be connected to your room? I hope that isn't necessary, but is it possible to be reached by phone in case of family emergency back home or a pressing work issue?

yes, someone can phone you on the ship and be connected to your room. On the princess website, they state how phone calls can be made to the ship.

Remember a cruise is suppose to be a vacation, if my work called me on the cruise, I would hang up on them. Cell phone went off on day 1 and not turned back on until we landed at my hometown airport.

Each room phone (extension) has a voice mail box.. so if you call for $8 a minute or whatever it is, you can leave a message if they are not in their room. just make sure they have not been re assigned to a different cabin! That is why email is a better way to go... the idea about a temporary yahoo account is a good one.
