NoDayButToday00 Posted October 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2017 Looking at the Black Falcon website and reading posts here it seems that the Open Air parking lot at the bow of the ship is not the main parking area anymore. Is this still open? It was so convenient. Reading the website it seems that the parking lot that is in use requires a shuttle ride. Can someone confirm? How long did it take? How often were the shuttles?
Rare 1025cruise Posted October 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2017 There is still parking at the bow. You can still park on the roof of the garage. This third lot is new, and seems to be getting mixed reviews (only open on certain days, not for all cruises). If you search this forum, there is a post somewhere that explains the details that someone got by calling the port authority.
Shih-tzu Posted October 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2017 I used the parking garage across the street. Cruise parking is on the roof.
flowers44 Posted October 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2017 I used the third lot that was mentioned in post #2. I made the reservation online and it was a couple dollars less expensive. When we arrived in Boston, we dropped off our suitcases and then made our way to the parking lot. It is about two blocks from the ship and very easy to get into. They have two or three shuttles and one was waiting when we got to the lot. We were told we could have come there first and they would have brought our suitcases over to the pier for us to have saved us from having to deal with the crowds of people coming and leaving at the pier. As soon as we boarded the shuttle, they took us right over and dropped us off, pointing out where they would meet us upon return. When we disembarked, we headed for the meeting place and the shuttle was there waiting for us. We waited about 10 minutes and no other passengers came onto the shuttle and the next shuttle showed up. We backed out of our spot and the second shuttle immediately filled in the parking spot, waiting for more passengers. The drivers were courteous and I would recommend using that lot. It is a locked, fenced in lot and our car was fine when we got back, except for the Sea Gull poop that was running down the driver's door window. Can't help that when you are close to the ocean.
