w@ntonsoup Posted October 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2017 I had a great idea to surprise my wife with our first cruise with the kids the first week of January to Ensenada out of Long Beach. I'm about to book... but second guessing that it will be warm. I'm thinking if it's 55 or 60 degrees, that's not really a Mexican Riviera cruise that she'd love.... And kids might be really bored if they're not able to spend hours each day in the pool and on the deck in their swimsuits.. Thoughts?
bobnsofi Posted October 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Could be nice, sunny & warm (70+ degrees). More than likely cloudy in the mornings and afternoons, and lucky to hit 70 degrees. It will still (more than likely) be a very affordable adventure worth taking. Search historical weather for any of the area beach cities (imperial beach, encinitas, solana beach, leucadia) to get an idea of the beach weather at that time of the year. Inland weather is very different than beach weather in the SoCal area (same climate as nearby Ensenada)
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2017 You just never know this time of year. Often it is cool early in the AM but that can change quickly as things warm up. I would not hesitate to take this cruise during the time of year you are asking about. Keith
