I have just received P&O Moments loyalty members magazine.

The reason i mention this is in the book it states,

We add a discretionary £6 service charge per guest 12 and over distributed among the cabin stewards, butlers, restaurant and buffet staff.

This was previously called auto-gratuity and will appear as service charge on your folio.

That would be totally your choice you know. You can eat in many different venues. You may be paying thousands for the cruise, but don't say you are being forced to eat all meals in the WJ. What an ignorant thing to say. If you feel there is so little value in cruising, why not choose another form of vacation.

It was not ignorant but merely his point of view. He or she thinks going on a cruise one should try various restaurants that is all.

However I will say those folks in buffet area are some of the newest and nicest folks on the ship. They all deserve nice pay.

I would agree to not prepay tips if one is getting OBC

In fact this is why folks hold off on shore excurions as well
