Rare csoud68 Posted October 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2017 No updates on Fb...wondering if that place was hit harder than I thought. Matter of fact, it would be nice to hear from recent cruisers to the island in general.
bakersdozen12 Posted October 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2017 The last I read they came out just fine. I believe that port isn’t opening back up until Nov 1st. So it will be a bit of time before anyone can post and confirm. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

winddawn Posted October 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2017 I read on another website in an article about a month ago that Jack's Shack had minimal damage, comparatively speaking. They had to replace the sun shades and reinstall the tiki hut roofing which they had taken down to avoid losing it. They also had about 12 inches of sand in the kitchen to clean up. Jack said everyone is really anxious for the tourists to return because with tourism being their only industry, they've basically been out of work ever since the hurricane. Rare CTCruisers Posted October 27, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 27, 2017 Great to hear that they had minimal damage from the storms. We always stop by the Shack when we are in Grand Turk. satbeachbill Posted November 11, 2017 #15 Share Posted November 11, 2017 We were there this past Tuesday. Jack's is fine. Looks to me like they lost some beach, but other than that, all OK. (The place has really been "discovered")....very busy. Jerk chicken is as good as always!

Ralphinsc Posted December 15, 2017 #19 Share Posted December 15, 2017 Their social media page looks like things are back in full swing at Jack's. Pictures coming in from cruisers daily. The beach and ocean looks great. The foliage took a hit but the bar looks to be in full repair and working at 100%.
