Airport Overnight?

We have a party of six flying in from diffferent areas of the US for a cruise in January. We have hotel rooms booked at Sheraton. However, does anyone know, if the hotel is still housing FEMA workers and cancels our rooms, can we possibly stay all night in the airport?? We all have connecting flights and have tried so hard to have us all arrive around the same time. Any one ever stay overnight at the airport?

Thanks

Sheraton cancelled our January reservations- take a look at the various hotel threads, and maybe book some back up Hotels?

I have spent the night in an airport - not San Juan -

So.....maybe book back up Hotels just to try and protect your chances.....

Which Sheraton canceled your reservation in January? The convention one or the one in old San Juan? Also what date did you have booked?

I was going to book at the Sheraton for 1/13 so I'm very interested to hear if this will work.

This is my Plan D - I have 3 hotel ressies - Deluxe, Moderate, and Value - bringing a pillow though, and Airport floor is my D . There are flights scheduled all hours and security so while it wouldn't be ideal, at least you'll be safe inside 4 walls and a roof

Sheraton Old San Juan - had reservations booked since April - three nights in mid December, plus January 6-8. Both were cancelled. Their note said they would not be able to accept reservations until after Jan 8....but nothing specific. Honestly, I would not trust reservations at this property....

Thanks for your quick reply. I am thinking of booking the other Sheraton. I will try to book it later today and see what happens. Fingers crossed!!

Its the Sheration Convention Center and Casino that I booked. I hope we just get to keep our reservation

The issue is mentioned in the reviews. If you have a checked bag you need to get it, and that puts you outside of the secure area. Things are a lot less relaxing once you’re outside of the secure area.

Have you considered Airbnb?
