redmug Posted November 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2017 Hello everyone, I need a suggestion on the most beautiful, calm and clear water beach on the island, just for swimming. I am not interested in any kind of water sports or excursions. I also would like to know the best and most economical way to get to the beach and back: by a taxi, bus, small boat or catamaran and how much would it cost. Thanks
JohninDC Posted November 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2017 You can walk to Carlisle Bay in about 15-20 min (go out of the port, turn right, and keep the water on your right). There are several beach clubs that will rent you chairs and umbrellas, and offer food, drinks, etc. (Boatyard, Harbor Lights, Lobster Alive, etc.) or just plop your towel on the sand and enjoy. If you prefer a taxi instead of walking the fare should be about $5 per person each way.

JohninDC Posted November 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2017 We LOVED Coki beach on St. Thomas -- buy a dog biscuit with your beer and enjoy the fish eating out of your hand! Hope it survived the hurricane.
