watermelonqueen99 Posted November 30, 2017 Author #351 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Nope: We decided to head out to the Lanai to take some more pics. I have seen the same people stay in these things from morning until afternoon, and we all know what that means. If you get in these, you have to be cool with watersports with strangers. (We've never gotten in one on the ship, but since I put it that way.....): A closer look: These are located next to all hot tubs. PSA: You cannot shower with your partner in these. At least not naked. The staff get a little upset. Or so I've heard: There she is again, that shifty Conquest. I'm still watching her. I know she's up to something: To be continued:
watermelonqueen99 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #352 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Ain't Doing It: This is just gonna be a real quick look at the smoking area and some outdoor seating on the Lanai. I don't smoke because I am absolutely anal about wrinkles (this will come back to play shortly), but I don't judge you if you do. C doesn't smoke either but he couldn't care less about wrinkles. We don't care if you smoke, and have absolutely no room to judge anyone's vices, trust me. Discovering new vices is actually a hobby of ours. So, let's have a look: Not a bad view if you do smoke, though: It was a beautiful day: To be continued........
watermelonqueen99 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #353 Share Posted December 1, 2017 So Over Cozumel: Let me preface these next pics by saying we never ate at Guy's Pig and Anchor. The lines were always longer than my Great-Aunt Agnes' chin hairs, and if there's one thing I hate it's standing in line. I'll do it for certain things. A sale on vodka. That pair of hooker boots I've been eyeing. Maybe even a Guy's burger. But from the reviews I had read prior to the cruise, Pig and Anchor is mediocre at best. And that claim was backed up by the piles of P&A food we saw left on plates all throughout the Ocean Plaza. I'm sorry, but when there's mac and cheese left on a plate, something is wrong and whoever made it needs to re-evaluate their life. I make a mean mac and cheese, so I wasn't about to insult myself by standing in line for what was most likely Kraft quality mac. And that may be an insult to Kraft and that powdered orange stuff they pass off as cheese, I don't know. Anyway, here's some pics of Pig & Anchor: To be continued.... watermelonqueen99 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #354 Share Posted December 1, 2017 November 3rd Blah Blah Blah: We decided to go back inside and finish up our ship pics. We headed to deck 4 aft. Here's the entrance to the Scarlet Restaurant: Don't think you'll be able to read this, but the menu is posted outside: Couple of inside pics: To be continued.... watermelonqueen99 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #355 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Mexico, November, Yada Yada Yada: These next several posts will be mostly all pics, and mainly for those who cruise with children. (A shudder just went through me as I typed that.) C and I are allergic to all children except our own (and even them sometimes), so we usually avoid this part of the ship like it's, well, full of children. But we knew it would be empty today, so maybe these pics will be helpful for parents. This is The Warehouse, which is the arcade. That egg machine in the second pic really brings back memories. When I was a kid, there was a grocery store that had a machine with a hen in it and a bunch of eggs. If you got the golden egg, you hit the jackpot. I used to throw a fit if my mom wouldn't give me a quarter to play. (Used to? I just did that last week.): To be continued....
watermelonqueen99 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #356 Share Posted December 1, 2017 You should definitely try it. I don't know where they have it on dream class but they had a nice bar in there on freedom. I remember seeing it in the Times, but I don't remember where it was. We'll have to check it out. efuzz Posted December 1, 2017 #357 Share Posted December 1, 2017 We always say we're gonna go, but we're always reluctant to leave our favorite bar and give up our seat. Lol I've heard it's a lot of fun. It is hilarious and wildly inappropriate. Sounds perfect for you two. We saw way more of the guy at the next table than we ever expected on our last cruise. Twig AND berries! :o

watermelonqueen99 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #366 Share Posted December 1, 2017 I'm just gonna post these next pics of the rest of our tour of deck 4 without much commentary. They're pretty self-explanatory. Here's the Rendezvous Lounge by the Crimson dining room. It looks quiet and intimate. Looks like a good place to hold the Friends of Bill W gatherings, which is where C and I should probably spend most of our time on every cruise: I'm gonna use this same thread to start a tour of the Pixels gallery. I also tried to get some pics of some of the stuff they offer: I like this, but being Carnival, I just assume it costs roughly half what the cruise itself did, so I never bother to ask: These wall of photos annoy me so bad. I will stand there staring for 45 minutes, trying to find our picture, and get so frustrated. Up will walk C, and I'll tell him our pic isn't there, and he'll go right to it. Pfft. Whatever. It wasn't there when I was looking for it: To be continued.....

watermelonqueen99 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #368 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Deck 3, Lobby. (Tell me you didn't read that in the elevator lady's voice.) We're gonna take a quick look at the atrium, and now that we're all grey-haired, on Medicare, and running kids off our lawns, we're finally gonna get off the ship in Cozumel. This was definitely the time to go the Guest Services desk. It remained consistently busy the entire week: Look at the set of stools on that bar. I'm in love: Almost makes ya dizzy, especially if you're 2 or 3 in: Excursion Desk: Sign outside the Encore theater advertising all the shows. The guy's face you see here is Chris the Flying Scotsman, the CD. He has his own show, but, you guessed it, we didn't go: A quick peek inside the theater: To be continued.... watermelonqueen99 Posted December 2, 2017 Author #370 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Finally, off the ship in Cozumel! We were off the ship right around noon. We walked the 43 miles down the pier and battled through the duty free shop, where we were bombarded with throngs of salespeople yelling out "tequila" and "vodka" (C had to pull me away, as I automatically gravitate toward those words). We finally made it out into the shopping area. On your right is the tourist trap/overpriced Three Amigos: That water never gets old: Looking back toward the Dream. Seriously, that water! Pics don't do it justice. There were a couple of asses hanging outside Three Amigos. Side note--I feel like that little boy is looking into my soul and judging me: Another side note on above pic: I originally typed jack asses (no space) and CC censored it. But "asses" is just fine. The word jack is apparently a no-no. Noted. Here's a photo op at Three Amigos: We ate here once when we were on the Freedom so that we could get the free wi-fi. We spent $50 on nachos and quesadillas that made Taco Bell taste like gourmet food, and a couple of weak drinks. Not worth the free wi-fi, needless to say: To be continued..... watermelonqueen99 Posted December 2, 2017 Author #373 Share Posted December 2, 2017 More Cozumel: We've been to Cozumel many times, and we're going back in April, so just like in Grand Cayman, we didn't have an excursion planned. And also like Grand Cayman, I had an agenda. Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with skincare. I started using anti-aging creams when I was 20 years old. C used to tease me about it, but flash forward 20 years, and I still get carded at the liquor store, and people assume I'm in my late 20's. So who's laughing now, C? And who's gonna have the youngest looking wife in the nursing home, huh? Anyway, my only goal here was to restock my Retin-A, which is a skin cream that is pretty much the Holy Grail of anti-aging. And it's crazy expensive in the US. So we made our way to the pharmacy right there in the shopping area. I asked for 6 tubes, and when they rang it up, it had gone up a little since February. It came to $189 USD, and C gave me a little side-eye as he pulled out his card. I just threw some back because I've seen him spend that on a few drill bits. But you can barely get 1 tube for that in the US, so it was all good. We grabbed a magnet and headed back to the ship around 1:00. The following pics are gratuitous ship porn, because I like ship porn: Isn't she a beaut, Clark? The Dream, not the lady in the pic. Although I'm sure she's lovely as well: My notes say that these are RCCL Oasis and Liberty of the Seas, respectively: There she is again. I'm telling ya'll, the Conquest works for Putin. He's probably onboard disguised as the captain: To be continued.....
watermelonqueen99 Posted December 2, 2017 Author #374 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Cozumel Continued: When we got back on the ship, we went to see what was going on in the Ocean Plaza. We decided to channel our inner old people and do a crossword. You can get them at the coffee bar along with soduka...sodoku...sukmy....whatever. I don't know what they're called. C is an egghead and does them for fun and I make fun of him for it: After we got bored with the crossword (IE, after 2 minutes), we headed up to Lido to make iced tea and play cards: My notes don't say what we had for lunch, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say we had a Guy's burger. I don't have a pic, but I do have a pic of what I assume was our dessert. I do remember that the only edible thing on this plate were the cookies: After lunch, we headed back to our room to do a little packing. We took a little cat nap. Eventually we got dressed and headed out for the evening. We hopped between the casino bar, the lobby bar, and karaoke. Ben was off for the night in the piano bar, so we didn't go in there. We did meet a very nice bartender named Lucia in the lobby, and she made us some variations on the Long Island: After a long evening of drinking, we headed up to Lido to refuel so that we could keep going. As you can see from this plate of chicken tenders, cheese cubes, and cookies, we have a very refined palate: After doing a little more bar hopping, we decided to go back up to Lido to check out the deck party. We waited at the Red Frog forever before someone finally told us that the party had been moved to the nightclub. We didn't know why, since it was a beautiful night. We made our way down there, and it was fun but packed. Chris was hosting, so half the ship was there. I ended up being handed this glow stick, and I'm ashamed of some of the things that ended up happening in the club with this thing over the course of the night. (Not really, but it makes me feel better to say that I was ashamed.): After reaching our daily goal, we eventually made our way back to our room. I fell asleep and dreamed that we missed the ship in Cozumel and became tour guides on the island, showing tourists all the best places to get drunk. Stay tuned for our last day at sea.....
