Sundsgn Posted November 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Hoping you all can help answer a couple questions for me. I did some searches but nothing answered the specific question. We have never bothered to get the Cheers Package before, but are considering it now with the coffees and smoothies, etc. Wanting to know how the ordering works. 1- Is the package tied to the individual S&S cards or to the charging account? 2- So, for example if my husband went up to the bar to order an alcoholic drink for himself and I, he is subject to the 5 minute wait, correct? But- if he has my S&S card with him, can he order one from each at the same time or is this still subject to the wait? 3- Regarding question to the ties to the charging account - I'm assuming then, if he is one place and I am in another, for ex: he is hanging with the kids at sports deck, and I am poolside, we somehow get drinks at the same time I can assume that I won't be told I have to wait because it would be separate S&S? 5 minute wait isn't a big deal, and not worried about filling a 15 Alc drink minimum, just wondering on timing issues. I'm sure these are dumb questions but you never know.
mdsgu Posted November 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Usually the bartenders will let you or your husband get 2 drinks (if both cards are present). Some of them are a bit picky about it, especially the first day. After a few days, and a few well placed dollar bills, they loosen up considerably. The package is tied to the S&S account, so if you and your husband are in different locations and just happen to go to a bar at exactly the same time, there will not be a 5 minute wait for either of you. Sundsgn Posted November 11, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Ok, thank you! Hubby likes to do nice things that hubbies sometimes do like order drinks for me and bring it over to my lounge chair that I don't move from all day and have probably already ordered a drink on my own (LOL) but I get why they don't do that with one card present. Thanks much!
cmichael1279 Posted November 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 13, 2017 I haven't had a problem doing this even cruising with friends, as long as all the cards a present. We certainly did it in the casino if someone's at a table or machine and wants a drink quickly or from somewhere other than the casino bar :)
Defender1791 Posted November 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2017 Never had an issue with my wife taking the whole family's cards and getting us all drinks. Each card has it's own 5 minute wait. Sent from my Moto Z Droid.
horsegal Posted November 13, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2017 Sometimes I would have to wave to the bartender when they made my husband point me out. A few of them did tell him just this once. So it might just depend on who it is. Sent from my XT1650 using Forums mobile app

Thanks much! Cheers is tied to individual folio #'s regardless if the folio number is part of an individual S&S account or a family S&S account. That is why the drink servers and bartenders (at least until they memorize your card) require the folio #s from both S&S cards when utilizing Cheers or even Bottomless Bubbles. Otherwise if only one card is present for 2 drinks, they will give the person ordering a single drink at no charge and then the second drink will be at menu price. Like another poster said a few cash tips do wonders for speeding up the crew members memorization skills.
surfjock27 Posted November 13, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2017 As everyone else said, there hasn’t really eve been an issue with getting two drinks at a time, as long as I have my husbands card also. We’ve also had on many occasions bartenders allow us two drinks at a time off of the same card. They’d simply jot down or make mental note of your folio number and ring it in after 5 minutes. Now you’re not going to find this on day one, this is after you go to that same bartender a few times and throw a couple singles at them. :)
horsegal Posted November 13, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 13, 2017 There was one time I order a drink (first one for the day) and for some reason the system had said I had just ordered one. The bartender just had me sit there and wait the 5 min. No idea why it happened but it wasn't a big deal. Sent from my XT1650 using Forums mobile app This. On the first day or two that may happen. Never really had a problem. And if servers get to know you and bring you your drinks, like around the pool or in a theater or in the atrium, it's even easier.

cheermomof2girls Posted November 13, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 13, 2017 I had an issue trying to do this once at the casino bar. My husband was at a table playing and no waiters were coming around, so I went to the bar to get him a drink. They wouldn't let me, so I paid for his on my card, then waited 5 minutes to order my own. I was a little irritated but realized they were just doing their jobs. However, if they had better waiter service while people were playing it would have been a non issue. Every other bar has always let us get both drinks if one person had both the cards. But, in their defense, the other bars had likely seen us together much more often than the casino bar as we don't typically drink at that bar. And those bartenders are always SO busy.
