We hope to see some Xmas decorations and maybe religious ceremonies.
Go-Bucks! Posted December 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2017 WE will arrive in Havana on Dec 17 , a Sunday. Will the shops and attractions be open? Can we buy liquor? We hope to see some Xmas decorations and maybe religious ceremonies. We'll be in Havana one week before (12/10) and am wondering the same thing. We have an O tour in the morning but hope to walk around for the rest of the day. We'll definitely find a church and attend a service. We go to church everywhere we go. Holly2 Posted December 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2017 Think we are on your sailing. Until recently religious observances were discouraged in Cuba.

Interesting, we'll be there Good Friday and Easter Sunday on the Azamara Quest. We have some private cars organised and ships tours. We have two nights (3 days in Havana), one day in Cienfuegos and one in Santiago De Cuba. Once in a lifetime trip for us.....beyond excited. michigankate Posted January 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Our Cruise Ship is arriving on Sunday and I asked our private guide about buying rum and cigars. I was told that the stores close at 1:00 p.m.
Holly2 Posted January 6, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Even though factory closed, might be able to buy some there.
