Casino Cruise Offers?

We just got off the Carnival Breeze that was having a $200,000 Slot Tournament & $100,000 BlackJack tournament going on. This was our first cruise where we played more than just a $100. We both ended up with a combined 2500 points on our cards. Just curious if anyone knows what level of play gets “Casino” Cruise offers?

I have been told they are given out randomly but hoping someone will let us know for sure :)

Points are not combined for offers and do not carry over to the next cruise. The exception to this is if you earn 5000 points you would have a drinks on us card waiting for you on your next cruise.

Bounce back offers are awarded at the end of the cruise. There is no set number of points but cruises are awarded on a sliding scale. Since you were on a gambler intense cruise you would need a greater number of points to get an offer. I personally have had over 8000 points and not had a BB offer and have had a BB with as low as 4000 points.

The rule of thumb for invites to Premier is 7500 points on a cruise. Invites to an Ultra is 7500 points on a Premier cruise. Notice I said rule of thumb. I have met Premier attendees that have never sailed Carnival but had gambled heavy on other lines. I have also sailed on Ultras with players that say they have never earned 7500 points on a premier. So there isn't a great deal of transparency in the awarding of comps.

Do you know how many points you had on your card & how many on spouse ? I would guess it will be enough to start getting casino offers, possibly both of you, but they do not combine so it may be only one of you. You can check at ... https://www.carnival.com/cruise-deals/vifp-club.aspx

They don't necessarily start showing up immediately, so check about every week or two weeks at the beginning. It may take a few months. They won't necessarily be all that great. Like about $50-100ish better than the best standard fares like Early Saver, Military, Senior, Pack&Play, or whatever. That being said, check often once you start seeing them, I finally got my first "free" cruise offer after about 8 months, only had to pay port taxes & gratuities. I was not checking very regularly, so I could have missed seeing earlier ones ?

As stated above, points don't carry over to give you free drinks on your next cruise, unless you had a lot more points than you did. But I do think they are cumulative over a years time, where you may start seeing better offers in your VIFP. I have read before that 7500 points in a year will get you Premiere offers. Also, it's not likely you will have any other comps either (like OBC) without more points.

I would definitely check "my offers" under your VIFP account. I played in the casino on the Breeze in Sept. and read on CC that there were real cheap cruises for October & November. I then looked under my account and lo and behold there were tons of $25 & $50 cruises. I never received an email from Carnival telling me that these were being offered so I would never have known about them if not for CC. I waited to book a cruise and it cost me a total of $231 as I am sailing solo on a 5 day out of Miami.

These were legitimate offers. My son in law had several. I am not sure if this was in response to the multiple cancelations because of the hurricanes or if it something new. I can tell you it was not the norm of years past. Either way, you really do need to check your offers rather than rely on getting email or snail mail notifications.

I was told that these were due to hurricane cancellations. And I did learn a lesson as to always check your offers and don't rely on emails.

My mom & I are also sailing on a 5 day out of Miami (Dec 4th) on a $25 offer.

Reading the fine print I see that if you get 7500 points on a Premier Cruise before the end of April 2018, you will be allowed to book an Ultra Cruise before others. It seems other people will be invited on Ultra Cruises without that many points, but will not get first choice of cabins. Just watching this year, the Ultra's went pretty fast, even though there was no love for Long Beach departures.
