First time on Holland. Sailing Eurodam over Thanksgiving and was wondering if they did a special menu in Thanksgiving day in the dining room.

There is indeed a special Thanksgiving menu with all of the trimmings with a huge display at the MDR entrance. The chocolate chip pecan pie was the best dessert that I ever had on a HAL cruise on the Zuiderdam last Thanksgiving.

Menu included: Pate and shrimp cocktail appetizers, spiced pumpkin soup, sweet corn soup, carrot vichyssoise, and bibb lettuce salad. Entrees included: roast turkey, beef tenderloin Oscar, brown sugar glazed salmon, Honey-baked ham, and pumpkin ravioli. Desserts were pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan pie, apple pie, pumpkin tart, and a special Thanksgiving sundae.

The turkey was juicy and the made-from-scratch giblet dressing amazing. You will not leave hungry.

I know you asked about the MDR but on the Zuiderdam.last month in the Lido for the Canadian Thanksgiving it was real turkey. They carved the birds in front of you. They also served wonderful dressing, cranberries and mashed potatoes with gravy. Of course you could get more helpings as well. There was pumpkin pie for desert too.
