I know the Puerto Rican abuelitas are rolling their eyes right now, but will I be able to find any vegan food in the Old Town area? I'd like to try some traditional dishes, but it seems like they all contain meat and dairy.

If you are mean Old San Juan, the restaurant in El Convento has options, and Barachinas has vegan selections.

Check out Cafe Berlin as well. They have vegetarian foods and might have vegan as well.

You will be fine. When we were there we found lots of options.

 

Also check out Trip Advisor which will give you several ideas as it did for us.

Thanks for the ideas guys :) I also messaged a few popular Puerto Rican vegan pages on Instagram to ask them. 3 out of the 5 of us are vegan, so I can usually find something at most places, but it's easier if I scope things out in advance. :)

Agree better to plan on this. Curious what other places you find. 2 out of 5 of us going soon are also Vegan. So I always try and find a place that can satisfy all of us.
