i am going on cp on 8/14 - when will i get my docs?

I usually receive my docs about 2 - 3 weeks before the sail date. They'll be sent to your TA who will send them to you. So, you might ask your TA to give you a heads-up when they receive them.

Seriously, a lot depends on the agency that you booked through. If it's a biggie like Best Price Cruises or Cruise Value Center, then your docs will sit in their Doc Dept. for weeks and you'll get them about 10-14 days from sailing. If you use a smaller TA, then I'd expect them much sooner - about 4 weeks from sail date, depending upon where you live and the mail service the TA uses. Hang in there!
