Any benefit to purchasing Bottomless Bubbles before leaving or during?

It's been around 6 years since I cruised, and if I remember right, there was a time to purchase the package where it was actually a little cheaper. I want to say right when we left port, because then we didn't pay tax.

 

Is there any benefit to pre-purchasing or waiting?

The best time to purchase almost any package is as soon as you book the cruise. Online prices as early as possible will be the cheapest you will see!

The tax thing hasn’t been in effect for a couple years at least now. It’s the same price and you pay tax on the individual drinks you have while in a US Port/Port of Call.

While the package will not be taxed, getting drinks when in some ports will be taxed. So even if you have the package, you will pay tax for drinks you get while in port.

The only advantage to buying the Bottomless Bubbles before boarding is you will not need to find a bartender that knows how to ring in the transaction or wait on a line at the BB table. The only other possible plus is IF Carnival increases the price later on, you will have bought it at the older lower price and are now locked in to the savings.
