jerrib Posted December 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2017 I understand that the town itself is not geared toward tourists but would like to know if it is worth a walk outside the port facility. Local shops, restaurants for local food etc.

jerrib Posted December 12, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted December 12, 2017 Is the "Made in Roatan" store still there? I believe it was located a short way after taking a right out of the port gate.

Yes it is. It is so nice to buy something from there and know your purchase will help the crafters families. They also do sell items on line and the shipping is very reasonable. thereisonlyone Posted December 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 23, 2017 I was there in the middle of December. We caught a cab to Carombola Garden and spent our time there. In doing so, we drove through the town, but neither my wife or I saw anything that made us want to stop or visit it when we got back from the Garden. A cab ride r/t to the Garden was $45 for the driver to stay as long as we wanted.
