steelersfan4ever Posted December 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2017 I know that you have to be 21 and older for Serenity and 18 and over for the Adult comedy shows, we will have our 6 year old grandson with us and are there any other places that he will not be permitted with us? lounges, etc.
stressedmomof3 Posted December 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2017 Anywhere in the spa, in the casino itself next to the machines/tables, and on some ships the back pool is/ used to be adults only but unsure if that changed or not. Can't think much else where kids can not go. maybe someone else can chime in.
bury me at sea Posted December 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2017 I think the piano bar may discourage children at some point each evening, though I don't know the time or whether it's enforced. For the most part Carnival is extremely family friendly. If there are certain areas you are questioning you might get more specific replies. Anthomaniac Posted December 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2017 Which ship? After 11, the show in the piano bar is not kid friendly. :) Sent from my XT1254 using Forums mobile app
Athankfulheart Posted December 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2017 The disco/night club was restricted after 10pm as I remember. Its smokey anyway, so we avoid it even without kids. Sent from my SM-N920V using Forums mobile app
IPlayWithString Posted December 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2017 I think the piano bar may discourage children at some point each evening, though I don't know the time or whether it's enforced. For the most part Carnival is extremely family friendly. If there are certain areas you are questioning you might get more specific replies. It depends on the ship and the piano player I think. On one ship (I wanna say it was the Freedom, but I can't swear to it right now) my son (who was 11 at the time) was allowed into the piano bar for a short while in the evening but after about a half an hour or so (which was really all he could stand, sensory wise anyway) was kicked out. That was the only ship where he's been allowed past the door...all other ships we've tried to take him into when he asked to go in we were told to get out. He also once asked me if we could go dance in one of the clubs because they were having a Michael Jackson hour or night or something and he wanted to go dance since he loves Michael Jackson. I didn't know at the time (it was like our first or second cruise) that under 21s weren't allowed in the clubs and the staff member standing at the door (guard? IDK) glared at us, crossed his arms over his chest and shook his head. He was a tall, burly guy and I was like, "Oooh ok. SORRY!" before I turned and almost ran (the dude seriously scared me with his mean look LOL) away.
mdsgu Posted December 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 27, 2017 Check the Fun Times. It will clearly state age limits if there are any. I don't know about the dance clubs/discos, but they definitely enforced the over-18 for the adult comedy shows. There was someone going around scanning Sign&Sail cards of anyone who looked too young to be there, and he actually kicked a few out.
