GEM Lunch Options on Embarkation Day?

What are the lunch dining options on the Gem on Embarkation Day?

Leaving this Saturday.:D

There will be one of the dining rooms, the buffet and the 24 hour place (I assume it is o’Sheehans on the Gem).

 

Some ships have some other options, but I think that’s probably it for the Gem.

Believe I read you bid on a suite and your bid was accepted. If that is so, you will be escorted to a specialty restaurant for lunch. On the Dawn it was Cagney's, not sure about the Gem.

Two years ago we ate at Grand Pacific. Was a home run. No waiting, full menu, great service.

Yes Julma...that is correct, but I am with my family (7) and I do not believe they can have lunch with us which I believe is Cagney's.:(

Could be that you are ready with your lunch before the other family members get onboard :)

 

I had the same situation a while ago. Part of the family (including me) in a suite. Part in normal cabins. The suite check in was very separate from the rest and we could not find our other family members anymore after doing our check-in at the suite check in :o For some reason calls were not connecting. We could not do check-in at the normal check-in counters as our suite keys were already printed and at the suite check-in area. They could not do check-in there as they were not on a suite. Well we had agreed we'd most likely just go separate ways to the ship if it wasn't easy to find each other. Miami port was a madhouse when we went.

 

So we went with suite passengers in. Headed for lunch at Cagney's. As we were finishing our dessert my mom could finally call me and told they had just entered the ship and were thinking about lunch :D We said great, meet you at main dining room in 5mins and headed for our second lunch [emoji23]

An excellent idea. We've been in suites on the Gem the last few times we sailed on her and were among the first on the ship. I remember from a cruise several years ago though, we ate lunch in the aft dining room and had to wait for it to open. I can't remember the exact time but it was after 12. You could probably finish lunch in Cagneys and meet them there for dessert.

Two years ago, we had a suite and were able to get the others in the family to board with us, but we did not have lunch at Cagney's, but in the MDR which was fine with us.

 

Hopefully I can do the same this Saturday when we board the GEM.
